SETTING UP YOUR WIRELESS DEVICES:

VOICE GUIDANCE: (Speaks what is on your screen for you)

Activate Voice Guidance

  1. Make sure the volume is up on your TV.
  2. Locate the A key, a triangle-shaped button five rows up from the bottom left of your X1 remote control. Tap A to open the Help screen.
  3. From the Help screen, tap the A key again to bring up the Voice Guidance screen.

Deactivate Voice Guidance

  1. When you’re done using voice guidance, simply tap the A key on your remote to open the Help screen again.
  2. Tap A again to reopen the On/Off menu.
  1. Press OK to turn voice guidance off.

DIM THE LIGHT ON YOUR CLOCK (DVR SET-TOP BOX)

1. PRESS THE XFINITY BUTTON
2. SELECT SETTINGS (THE SETTINGS GEAR); PRESS OK
3. SCROLL DOWN TO 'DEVICE SETTINGS'; PRESS OK
4. SELECT 'DEVICE LIGHT'; PRESS OK
5. SCROLL TO 'CLOCK'; PRESS OK
6. USE THE ARROW KEY TO LESSEN THE BRIGHTNESS
7. PRESS EXIT

THE SECRET DIAGNOSTIC MENU

HOLD THE 'EXIT' BUTTON FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS
PRESS THE DOWN ARROW 2 TIMES
PRESS THE NUMBER 2
USE THE ARROW KEYS TO MOVE TO DIFFERENT PLACES IN THE DIAGNOSTIC MENU
EXIT WILL GET YOU BACK TO TV
